When Structure Fails, Projects Fail.

Meet Your Instructor

I’ve spent more than five decades in construction — as a General Contractor, Owner’s Representative, Inspector, and Building Official.

I was raised in the trades and worked through every phase of the construction process — from grading and excavation through foundations to finish work. It has ranged from residential homes and subdivisions to large commercial structures and industrial projects.

As an Owner’s Representative, I oversaw commercial and industrial construction, repairs, and acquisitions on behalf of one of the largest commercial and industrial real estate developers in the United States. During that time, my company performed large-scale structural retrofit and waterproofing work across those properties and others.

I later moved to the public side of the counter as an Inspector and Building Official, enforcing building code standards and overseeing structural compliance across entire jurisdictions.

Across both private and public work, one pattern became clear: communication breaks down. Assumptions replace clarity. Sequence unravels. Confusion and escalations follow.

Construction problems are rarely random. They are structural.

Structure restores clarity. It defines roles, establishes sequence, and preserves leverage.

There are no guarantees in construction. But there are governing principles.

My work is focused on identifying where structure has broken down — and restoring it before escalation compounds.

When structure is present, predictable results follow.

Whether the project is large or small, structure governs the outcome.
